Fairytale of doom
THE Super Sapiens are back! Super what? You know, that 2004 movie with that big red horned dude with a stone hand, whom we last saw clobbering salivating demons and octopus-like evil entities, remember?
Ok, so his name is HELLBOY, but that WAS what his movie was inexplicably known as back then.
Fortunately, this time around he isn’t going to settle for that Super Sapien moniker anymore. And based on the trailers and the pictures we’ve seen of Hellboy II: The Golden Army, director Guillermo Del Toro is taking his fascination with the fairy world to a whole new level.
From fang-baring tooth fairies and evil elves to ugly trolls and Cloverfield-like monsters, this movie has a lot more fantastical creatures in it than the original Hellboy and Pan’s Labyrinth (Del Toro’s Oscar-winning film) put together.
Del Toro has always been fascinated with fairytales. “As a teenager, I read the Bruno Bettleheim essays (The Uses of Enchantment, in which Bettleheim discussed the meaning and importance of fairytales), but by then I had also read The Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen ... I had started to collect legends from all over the world,” Del Toro recalls, adding that he had never thought he would ever do a fairytale on film.
“I always thought when I grew up that I’d do crime and horror movies. I never really connected with fantasy as a genre and I still don’t. I just connect with the fairytale, which is a very specific area of the fantasy, and when we started the process on this film we were actually going to do a very different story.”
Speaking of that “different story”, it’s common knowledge by now that the story we’ll be getting in Hellboy II was never told in the comics, and it isn’t even the original story that that Del Toro and Hellboy creator Mike Mignola had pitched to the studio originally.
“We pitched the idea of somebody trying to awake the four Titans in the four corners of the Earth: Fire, Water, Wind and Earth. Then I thought, well, I’m going to have the characters on a plane all the time, going to have them all travelling, and it didn’t feel good,” said Del Toro. “So I called Mike to my house, and we changed the story to this one.”
“This one” refers to the story of one angry elf prince called Prince Nuala who leads the fairytale world in a war against the human world. Nuala aims to awaken an ancient “Golden Army” to help him, and it’s up to Hellboy and his pals at the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (BPRD) to stop him. In addition to the original BPRD line-up of Hellboy (Ron Perlman), Liz Sherman (Selma Blair) and Abe Sapien (Doug Jones) is the strange Johann Kraus, a disembodied ectoplasmic spirit who can only maintain a tangible physical form by wearing a containment suit.
This whole new angsty and pissed-off portrayal of fairy creatures is an idea that Del Toro is very much enamoured with.
“My idea is that fantasy is not a clean, sanitised thing. Normally, elves are beautiful; they look beautiful and they have perfect teeth, but here they are kind of nasty,” he said. “The tooth fairies in the movie are nasty little creatures. Everything is grimy, slimy, nasty, dirty, used and smelly. I like that. I like the idea of fantasy not being the sort of perfect Disney-esque clean-land!”
Del Toro’s view is not one shared by his star Ron Perlman though, who would much rather leave all the reading and research to his good friend, and just concentrate on enjoying his return to one of his most iconic roles.
“I could spend endless time just exploring Hellboy’s role. I’d never get bored or tired of it. He’s dear to me for his humanity and personality and idiosyncrasies,” said Perlman. “As for what he does that’s for the storytellers to devise. But I am taking credit for all of the action, which quite honestly, is probably the first Hellboy to the power of ten!”
The classically trained Perlman boasts a career spanning over three decades, starring in critically acclaimed movies such as Jean-Jacques Annaud’s Academy Award-winning film The Quest for Fire, and The Name of the Rose. Among his other films are Sleepwalkers (1992), del Toro’s Cronos (1993), and Alien: Resurrection (1997).
Perlman has no doubt that Hellboy II will be bigger than the first movie. “It’s got a real epic feeling to it. The sets are magnificent and unbelievable; and I feel as though we have a really strong set of characters,” he said. “There’s also an operatic quality to the time that Guillermo is taking on each sequence. The visual way that the sequences are playing is incredibly noticeable to all of us, and I think it’s just beautiful and very cool.” Although he probably spends most of the movie battling fairy creatures and beating up elf princes, that’s not the only action Hellboy is getting into – he is also in a relationship with the fiery (in the literal sense of the word) pyrokinetic Liz Sherman, and that makes for a more er... emotionally-sensitive Hellboy.
“The character of Hellboy in the first one was basically all swagger and wisecracks. He was not particularly a slave, emotionally, to anything, other than the love to live,” explains Perlman. “But now, in the second film, he’s in a relationship with Liz and they are having a lot of trouble, a lot of trouble being girlfriend and boyfriend. He is really screwed up over that!
“He’s a little emotional, so it’s a different exercise for me; while it’s the same guy, it’s clearly a different side of him you did not see in him in the first piece.”
Besides that, there is little else that is different with Hellboy this time around other than the fact that he has a much, much bigger gun. “In the first one he has the Good Samaritan, which was a pretty big gun; but he has one here which is four times as big! It’s a big baby!” said Perlman, adding that the makeup and the rubber suit were not much different this time around either.
“To the naked eye he looks exactly the same but there are tiny little subtle differences. I think he looks cooler, younger. He’s hot!” he said. “The make-up also has no trouble showing whatever it is I am feeling. That’s an alchemy there that I don’t quite understand ? I’m wearing rubber and rubber is an inanimate object and yet all I have to do is to feel a little confused about something and you can see I’m confused. It mirrors exactly what I’d be doing normally if I were wearing no makeup. How do they do that?”
Hellboy II: The Golden Army comes to Malaysia in July.
Gerakan blames Umno for polls defeat
KUALA LUMPUR: Gerakan acting presidentTan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon yesterday blamedthe "arrogance of power" of certain Umno
leaders for the party's defeat in the generalelection.
After chairing a four-hour central delegatesbriefi ng on the elections yesterday, Kohsaid the party took the election results as anindicator of people being dissatisfi ed with whatthey perceived as the"arrogance of power" of the Barisan Nasional (BN).
"Certain Umno leaders' deed, words andactions, in the past two years, have resulted in a feeling of resentment," he said.
"However, we are very critical that we mayhave not done enough and did not do enough.Perhaps that power had got into our head after
leading Penang for 39 years.
"Koh said Gerakan would like to play a role of reformer in the BN but has to reform itself fi rst.
The party will also play the role of a constructive opposition in Penang, Kedah, Perak and Selangor, where it has had the administration experience in the past.
Asked whether Gerakan will be able to survive the crisis, Koh said the party's future isin the members' hands.
"If we start to do more things that are correct and move on to voice out the people's concern and to work out viable solutionsto many problems that the people face ...
we have the confi dence to continue to berelevant," he said.
Despite the feeling of sadness for losing somany seats, he was glad to see the delegates were highly spirited and ready to continue the fight along the party's principles, which are non-racial based.
Koh said that during the briefi ng, which was also attended by party adviser Datuk Seri Dr Lim Keng Yaik, the delegates stressed that the renewal process should start as soon as possible.
"There were also constructive criticisms which demand the party's top leadership to be more vocal in speaking up for the people," he said.
"We admitted that we were too busy with government work in the past and we might have been separated from the people.
"Koh said the delegates also hoped that BN, specially Umno, will introduce renewal that is multi-racial in nature.
He said the party will not be celebrating its 40th anniversary but will do a lot of soulsearching and consolidation work."We resolved to go back to basics, people, politics and conscience and to move forward into the future," he said.
Koh said the next 10 years will be the most challenging for the party and hoped that by its 50th anniversary, the party will regain its political position.
He said he will now be working full time for the party, while some of the leaders will also devote their time for the party's rebuilding effort.
His immediate plan is to make sure that all members recovered from the shock of electoral defeat and are re motivated to move the party forward.
Koh said the delegates had also called for early party elections. The elections had been postponed to next year but the party will be re-looking its decision.
"The key party leaders and I will be going for nationwide dialogue with the grassroots next week. We will decide on the election date after the tour," he said.
Asked whether the delegates had proposed that the party withdraw from BN,
Koh said there was only one delegate who requested to have a meeting to discuss the
matter.
"I said we can discuss it in the normal delegates conference or dialogue session. We are a democratic and open party and are open to all ideas," he said.
On the proposal for an anti-hopping law by Minister in the Prime Minister Department Datuk Zaid Ibrahim, Koh said that in principle, he agreed that if a candidate is elected because he contested under a party fl ag and decides to jump ship, it is unfair to the voters who voted him.

The Miracle of Zam Zam Water
Come the Hajj season, and I am reminded ofthe wonders of Zumzum water. Let me go back to how it all started. In 1971, anEgyptian doctor wrote to the European Press, a letter saying that Zumzum waterwas not fit for drinking purposes. I immediately thought that this was just aform of prejudice against the Muslims and that since his statement was based onthe assumption that since the Ka'aba was a shallow place (below sea level) andlocated in the center of the city of Makkah, the wastewater of the citycollecting through the drains fell into well holding the water.
Fortunately, the news came to KingFaisal's ears who got extremely angry and decided to disprove the Egyptiandoctor's provocative statement. He immediately ordered the Ministry ofAgriculture and Water Resources to investigate and send samples of Zumzum waterto European laboratories for testing the potability of the water.
The ministry then instructed the JeddahPower and Desalination Plants to carry out this task. It was here that I wasemployed as a desalting engineer (chemical engineer to produce drinking waterfrom sea water). I was chosen to carry out this assignment. At this stage, Iremember that I had no idea what the well holding the water looked like. I wentto Makkah and reported to the authorities at the Ka'aba explaining my purpose ofvisit.
They deputed a man to give me whateverhelp was required. When we reached the well, it was hard for me to believe thata pool of water, more like a small pond, about 18 by 14 feet, was the well thatsupplied millions of gallons of water every year to hajis ever since it cameinto existence at the time of Hazrat Ibrahim A.S., many, many centuries ago. Istarted my investigations and took the dimensions of the well. I asked the manto show me the depth of the well.
First he took a shower and descended intothe water. Then he straightened his body. I saw that the water level came up tojust above his shoulders. His height was around five feet, eight inches. He thenstarted moving from one corner to the other in the well (standing all the whilesince he was not allowed to dip his head into the water) in search of any inletor pipeline inside the well to see from where the water came in. However, theman reported that he could not find any inlet or pipeline inside the well.
I thought of another idea. The water couldbe withdrawn rapidly with the help of a big transfer pump which was installed atthe well for the Zumzum water storage tanks. In this way, the water level woulddrop enabling us to locate the point of entry of the water. Surprisingly, nothing was observed during the pumping period, but I knew that this was theonly method by which you could find the entrance of the water to the well. So Idecided to repeat the process. But this time I instructed the man to stand stillat one place and carefully observe any unusual thing happening inside the well. After a while, he suddenly raised his hands and shouted, "Alhamdollillah! Ihave found it. The sand is dancing beneath my feet as the water oozes out of thebed of the well."
Then he moved around the well during thepumping period and noticed the same phenomenon everywhere in the well. Actuallythe flow of water into the well through the bed was equal at every point, thuskeeping the level of the water steady. After I finished my observations I tookthe samples of the water for European laboratories to test. Before I left theKa'aba, I asked the authorities about the other wells around Makkah.
I was told that these wells were mostlydry. When I reached my office in Jeddah I reported my findings to my boss wholistened with great interest but made a very irrational comment that the Zumzumwell could be internally connected to the Red Sea. How was it possible when Makkah is about 75 kilometres away from the sea andthe wells located before the city usually remains dry? The results of the watersamples tested by the European laboratories and the one We analysed in our ownlaboratory were found to be almost identical.
The difference between Zumzum water andother water (city water) was in the quantity of calcium and magnesium salts.
The content of these was slightly higherin Zumzum water. This may be why this water refreshes tired hajis, but moresignificantly, the water contained fluorides that have an effective germicidalaction. Moreover, the remarks of the European laboratories showed that the waterwas fit for drinking.
Hence the statement made by the Egyptiandoctor was proved false. When this was reported to King Faisal he was extremelypleased and ordered the contradiction of the report in the European Press. In away, it was a blessing that this study was undertaken to show the chemicalcomposition of the water. In fact, the more you explore, the more wonderssurface and you find yourself believing implicitly in the miracles of this waterthat God bestowed as a gift on the faithful coming from far and wide to thedesert land for pilgrimage.
Let me sum up some of the features ofZumzum water.
This well has never dried up. On thecontrary it has always fulfilled the demand for water. It has always maintainedthe same salt composition and taste ever since it came into existence. Itspotability has always been universally recognised as pilgrims from all over theworld visit Ka'aba every year for Hajj and umrah, but have never complainedabout it. Instead, they have always enjoyed the water that refreshes them. Watertastes different at different places.
Zumzum water's appeal has always beenuniversal. This water has never been chemically treated or chlorinated as is thecase with water pumped into the cities. Biological growth and vegetation usuallytakes place in most wells. This makes the water unpalatable owing to the growthof algae causing taste and odour problems.
But in the case of the Zumzum water well, there wasn't any sign of biological growth. Centuries ago, Hagar (raa) searcheddesperately for water in the hills of Safa and Marwa to give to her newly bornson Ismail (pbuh) As she ran from one place to another in search of water, herchild rubbed his feet against the sand. A pool of water surfaced, and by thegrace of God, shaped itself into a well which came to be called Zumzum water.

Associated Press - Dissenters Calls for Malaysia PM to Quit
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) — Some Malaysian ruling party membersare mounting an Internet campaign demanding the prime minister'sresignation after massive losses in national elections over the weekend.
Theinitiative is an indication of brewing dissent against Prime MinisterAbdullah Ahmad Badawi, who has repeatedly insisted he will not stepdown and that he commands the loyalty of most members of his dominantUnited Malays National Organization.
A popular Web site calledMaya Kmu Dot Net sought support this week for a petition urgingAbdullah to "resign voluntarily as prime minister and UMNO president."Although anonymously run, it is known to be widely read by UMNO membersbecause it features criticism about the party that cannot be aired inregular party forums.
The site says it has conducted a poll in which some 90 percent of more than 2,500 respondents so far say Abdullah should quit.
MohamadNoh Zainudin, an UMNO grass-roots official who pledged support for thepetition, said Thursday that Abdullah must shoulder the blame for "thegovernment's poor image, which caused the bad results" in Saturday'sgeneral elections.
"At the grassroots level, there is a feelingthat the prime minister should step down," Mohamad Noh, an UMNO branchofficial in northern Perak state, told The Associated Press. "Thesenior leaders cannot express this because there is a culture of notspeaking out."
Top party leaders have backed Abdullah, saying noone is solely responsible for election results that saw the long-rulinggovernment lose its two-thirds parliamentary majority for the firsttime since 1969 despite winning enough seats to remain in power.
UMNO,whose members are from the ethnic Malay Muslim majority, forms thebackbone of the governing National Front coalition. The electionresults were the worst ever for the 14-party coalition, which onlyretained control of eight of Malaysia's 13 states.
Abdullah tookhis oath of office Monday to remain prime minister for anotherfive-year term. Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak said this week thatUMNO leaders would reject any calls for Abdullah to resign, addingthere should not be "any speculation or effort to change leadership."

Grandma on Facebook and has her own blog
By PAUL CHOO
KUALA TERENGGANU: Maimun Yusuf, the oldest candidate in the general election, has gone “hip” – she has her own Facebook networking profile, a Gmail account, and even her own blog.
Her fresh approach to wooing voters has raised eyebrows in the political scene here, even putting to shame the younger candidates.
The 89-year-old Maimun admitted that everything was new to her, but felt blessed that three good samaritans, all complete strangers, lent a helping hand in making her a star in cyberspace.
On Nomination Day, the grandmother of seven had told pressmen that she would need help, and would accept any form of divine intervention.
Getting help: Maimun being briefed by Ong (left) and Gobi about her posters at her house at Gong Gemia in Kuala Terengganu yesterday as Sim (right) looks on.
“These three men helping me now are definitely angels.
“Saya rasa seronok! (I feel good),” squealed the kain songket trader who is contesting the Kuala Terengganu parliamentary seat.
Tok Mun, as she is fondly known, said she felt intimidated when a large black SUV drove up to her dilapidated kampung house in Gong Gemia here on Wednesday.
Little did she expect 24-year-old Brian Ong, owner of an education consulting firm in Shanghai, to greet her.
Ong, who was accompanied by his two friends M. Gobi, 30, and Sim, 32, (as he wanted to be known), confessed that he was initially worried if Tok Mun would accept his help.
“We got word of Tok Mun when we saw her in the papers and well, we just wanted to help.
“Finding her house was a bit of an adventure though,” said Ong, who lives in Selangor.
The trio got straight to work, creating a blog (maimunbintiyusuf.blogspot.com), a facebook profile and even an e-mail account (maimunbintiyusuf@gmail.com) for her.
“It’s quite the eleventh hour, but we all had various commitments and couldn’t come earlier.
“We truly just want to help her because she is fighting for a good cause,” said Ong.

7 Powerful Ways To Make Money From Adsense Using Only Free Tools
In fact, there are lots of ways more creative to make money and maximize gains on Adsense who also discovered and put to use every day. And what is even more intriguing is the fact that most of these tools are used cost nothing. In fact, they are free. Here are 7 of the most effective means currently available.
A) The means of making money with Adsense by Distributing through articles and ezine article announcement lists
Some of the most effective ways of money with Adsense clicks involve simply not simply increase the volume of traffic to a site. One way to do so is to distribute content interesting Webzine lists and lists of article announcement. It is not too difficult to build quickly a list that reaches a million mailboxes and can therefore give high visibility and highly stimulating targetd tons of traffic on your site or sites AdSense. Probably the most popular place for doing so is Yahoo groups, but there are a few others that you can easily find using your favorite search engine.
Success here depends on three main factors. First, you must be careful to join Webzine article announcement lists and lists that are as relevant as possible about yourself and saving. Secondly your title must be a killer headline that captures readers by the scruffs of their necks and force them to open your message among dozens or even hundreds of others, they receive every day. It goes without saying that the content must respond to the promise of your title sensational. Anything that will cause discomfort and leave all these potential visitors to your site Adsense feeling cheated. And believe me, you do not want to provoke this kind of reaction because it is certainly not a way to make money on Adsense or any other program for that matter. Thirdly, you need the kind of resource box in all of your articles that will leave most of your readers with no choice but to visit your site Adsense.
Little apply this technique, my daily Adsense earnings increased seven times.
B) The means of making money with Adsense by Distribute free articles with heavy traffic, the article sites Some people find recent trends that have seen an increase in the article sites surprising. I do not. The net is primarily a tool for finding information. Anything that will improve the research and the quality of information will greatly benefit people making this effort.
Some of the older directories article receive very high traffic, mainly by webmasters and site owners seeking quality free content to their sites. So, apart from the immediate commencement of these sites also guarantee full exposition of the future traffic to your site, when people find your articles quite useful to re-position their sites.
Newer items you release of these sites each week, the more targeted traffic your Adsense sites receive. That makes it one of the most effective ways to make money consistently from Adsense clicks. One reason for this is that the targeted traffic will tend to spend more time on your site or sites, and the more time they spend, the more likely they click on any one of AdSense displayed.
C) The means of making money with Adsense articles And A Viral Marketing Site
Any technical online marketing which involves the use of marketing orientation automatically or viral marketing has a huge chance of being a success. The net is ideal for viral marketing and, in fact, gives an enormous leverage viral marketing. Marketing viral marketing or sponsorship is one of the most effective ways to make money online. Just ask Bill Gates.
When Gates was trying to play catch up on the Internet after an initial mistake to underestimate the future importance of the Internet, it launched its free email service Hotmail when rivals such as Yahoo had already millions of 'users. He decided to use a marketing technique, a simple reference. Each message out that Hotmail had a brief signing at the end asking the recipient to sign up for their free Hotmail account. Within a few months, Hotmail has millions of users. And there are many other stories which boasts viral marketing on the net.
He is a very simple ways to make money with Adsense going viral. Sign up for a major site of viral marketing. You will automatically get your own website viral. You can then use some of your articles to point people to your site viral. The way these sites work is that anyone who adheres to your site Adsense will visit your site if you register on the site. So in a very short time, you will be thousands of visitors to your site Adsense.
Find more details on this at my blog whose address you \ 'll find in the resource box below.
Obviously, this traffic is less targeted. Even the huge potential and figures that you are able to receive the help of this free tool allows more room for that.
D) The means of making money with Adsense With Your Email signature
People greatly underestimate the power and potential effectiveness of a simple email signature as one of the ways to make money online. In fact, it is a method of viral marketing because the e-mails get sent all the time and even copied to several other people sometimes.
Do not lose a minute. Access all your email accounts at the moment and create a signature that points to your site or sites AdSense.
Writing effective email signatures is a skill you have to develop, but I found that the use of famous quotations is more effective than advertising. Always remember that people hate to be advertised to online.
E) The means of making money with Adsense For Asking questions in discussion groups
I recently had an interesting conversation with a young techie computer and the Internet. He asked me if there were any quick ways to make money online by answering technical questions and help people solve their computers and problems related to the Web. My answer was that there were many discussion groups where participants could get these answers for free. I told him he had a better chance to make money by taking advantage of this free advice online rather than trying to sell its own board.
There are tons of online discussion groups where the leading world experts will answer your questions and give you valuable information for free. It is surprising why most people do not think that the use of these online forums to learn all they can about the most effective ways to make money from Adsense.
These forums can be easily found through your favorite search engine.
F) The means of making money with Adsense By bartering skills online for your precious Adsense keywords
In the old days, before the invention of money If someone needed something, the first question they asked themselves was, "What is it that I have that I can exchange for what I need? Barter seems to have been forgotten, but it is very powerful method of negotiation. More information is online, where people have a lot of skills, but are slow to trust others enough to send money for an item they need.
You can barter what you, your skills, products or services, and exchange them for real value keywords Adsense. Precious Adsense keywords are the most effective way for a small site with little traffic to win big cash from Adsense. Make Money With Adsense
The 5 Most Important Things You Must Know About AdSense
By Joel Comm
Whether you're just starting out with AdSense or whether you've been using it for years, the success of your ads will depend on knowing five absolutely essential pieces of information about AdSense:
1. AdSense Can Make You A Huge Heap Of Cash Lots of people make the mistake of believing that AdSense is only good for bringing a site a few extra pennies a month. Wrong! AdSense can fund your lifestyle - if you get it right.
2. Junk Sites Get Junk Income But just because it's possible for a site to make a lot of money with AdSense, it doesn't mean that any site can make a lot of money with AdSense. Your site must have good content that can attract users on its own merit. There are a lot of different strategies available for producing good content for your site. You'll need to use them if you want to create the sort of site that makes real money.
3. Your Choice Of Ads Matter One of the first things that you'll have to do when you join AdSense is to pick the types of ads you want to display. Success relies on following certain principles that encourage users to click and persuades them that they've got a reason to do so. You'll need to know those principles.
4. You Can Influence The Ads You Receive! Here's a little known AdSense secret: you do have some control over the ads that get served on your site. That control isn't unlimited - but it is worth exercising. It's also a little complicated but it's got a lot do with keyword hotspots located in each Web page. (I explain it all in my book, Google AdSense Secrets.) That's definitely something you need to know!

IrfanView 4.10 - Full-featured Graphics Viewer
IrfanView supports all important graphic formats, as well as multiple media formats.
In addition it includes many additional features including image editing, image adjustment, slideshow, batch conversion and editing, multipage editing, drag and drop support, TWAIN support, fast directory browsing, IPTC edit, capturing, numerous effects, multiple language support, and much more. Moreover, the functionality of IrfanView can be further extended via plug-ins that are widely available.
Lets take a closer look at this program.
The user interface of IrfanView is not streamlined, but it is simple and quite easy to use.
As I mentioned above IrfanView allows you to open image files, as well as sound and video files of multiple formats.
Thumbnails shortcut on the toolbar lets you view thumbnails of images in the specified directory.
IrfanView allows you to create slide shows. There are several options for slideshow. For example, you can set time interval for changing slides or use MP3 files (with installed plug-ins) as background music. You can also save the current slideshow as self running EXE or SCR file (standalone executable/screen saver).
IrfanView is not only the viewer, but also a converter of graphic files. In the program there is a batch processing option with the possibility of converting incoming files of different formats into a single output format. You also can apply many special operations to the images during conversion. Furthermore, IrfanView has batch rename feature that lets you rename original/input files or copy/move original files to output directory and rename the files in the output directory. For renaming, you can generate a name pattern for new names and the starting index for numbers.
Another IrfanView’s useful feature is called Copy Shop. It allows you to print an image directly from a scanner or any other TWAIN compatible device (digital camera, TV card, etc.).
Though IrfanView is not a professional graphic editor, it still allows you to do some useful image editing tasks. You can cut and crop images, paint or draw objects into an image, insert text. IrfanView also lets you to rotate, flip, resize images, create panoramas and apply different effects like sharpen, blur, emboss and others.
The program has many others useful features. IrfanView is my favorite image viewer, because it offers really good options and features for free and because it is the fastest picture viewer I can find. You can download IrfanView from this page or from the official web site irfanview.com.
Wind It Up - Gwen Stefani
Lyrics and Mp3 Wind It Up - Gwen Stefani
Wind it up, uh, uh, uh, uh
Yodellay, yodallay, yodal-low
(Yeah)
This is the key that makes us wind up
When the beat comes on, the girls all line up
And the boys all look, but no, they can't touch
But the girls want to know why the boys like us so much
They like the we dance, they like the way we work
They like that way that L.A.M.B. is going across my shirt
They like the way my pants, it compliments my shape (She's crazy, right?)
They like the way we react everytime we dance
Everytime the bass bangs, realize it calls your name
Let the beat wind you up, and don't stop till your time is up
Get in line now
Wind it up, uh, uh, uh, uh
Wind it up, uh, uh, uh, uh
Yodellay, yodallay, yodal-low
You've got to let the beat get under your skin
You've got to open up, and let it all in
But see, once it gets in, the poppin' begins
And then you find out, why all the boys stare
They're trying to bite our style
Trying to study our approach
They like the way we do it, so original
I guess that they are slow, so they should leave the room
This beat is for the clubs, and cars that go
Everytime the bass bangs, realize it calls your name
Let the beat wind you up, and don't stop till your time is up
Get in line now
Uh, uh, uh, wind it up, uh, uh, uh, uh
(Ya'll ready)
Wind it up, uh, uh, uh, uh
Wind it up, uh, uh, uh, uh
Yodellay, yodallay, yodal-low
Uh huh, it's your moment
Uh huh, come on girl, you know you own it
Uh huh, you know your key is still tick-tockin'
Hell yeah, and you know they're watchin'
Get it girl, get it, get it girl
Get it girl, get it, get it girl
To the font, to the side,
To the back, but don't let him ride
Keep goin' girl, it's your night
Don't let him steal your light
I know he thinks you're fine and stuff
But does he know how to wind you up?
(Come on)
Wind it up, uh, uh, uh, uh
Wind it up, uh, uh, uh, uh
Yodellay, yodallay, yodal-low, hey!

Storm reportedly saved Mick Jagger from assassination
The details of a plot to kill the British rocker were revealed by an FBI agent as part of a series, "The FBI at 100," which is to be aired on BBC Radio 4 on Monday.
Tom Mangold, who presents the series, told Britain's Sunday Telegraph newspaper that Jagger fell out with the Hells Angels after a member of the notorious gang killed a fan during the band's infamous free concert at Altamont in 1969.
The Stones had hired the local chapter to provide security for the poorly planned concert near San Francisco. The bikers terrorized the crowd, and were offended by Jagger's effeminate dancing. One of them stabbed 18-year-old Meredith Hunter to death in front of the stage. The chaos was immortalized in the documentary "Gimme Shelter."
The Hells Angels felt they had been duped by Jagger as fingers were pointed in the aftermath of the concert. Former special agent Mark Young, who was interviewed for the BBC series, said a boatload of Hells Angels set out to take revenge on Jagger at his holiday home in the Hamptons, near New York City.
"The Hells Angels were so angered by Jagger's treatment of them that they decided to kill him," Mangold told the newspaper.
"They planned the attack from the sea so they could enter his property from the garden and avoid security at the front. The boat was hit by a storm and all of the men were thrown overboard. All survived and there was not said to have been any further attempt on Jagger's life."
Alan Passaro was arrested and tried for Hunter's murder in 1972 but was acquitted after a jury concluded that he had acted in self-defense because Hunter was carrying a handgun. Passaro later drowned in an accident.
Malaysia's government rejects call for American-style political debate ahead of election
Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party President Abdul Hadi Awang recently dared Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to hold a televised debate similar to those held by U.S. presidential candidates.
But the Sunday Star newspaper quoted Trade Minister Rafidah Aziz as saying there was no place for such debates in Malaysia.
"We don't follow the American system in our country. We (the country's leaders) should be debating with villagers or town folks concerning local issues affecting them," she said in the report.
An aide, who spoke on condition of anonymity citing protocol, confirmed the minister's comments but did not give further details.
PAS is the chief rival of Abdullah's National Front coalition for votes among ethnic Malay Muslims, who make up about 60 percent of Malaysia's 27 million people. PAS controls the northeastern state of Kelantan, the only one of Malaysia's 13 states under opposition rule.
Malaysia has substantial minority populations of ethnic Chinese and Indians.
Sunday's New Straits Times newspaper quoted Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak as saying there was no need for the National Front coalition to entertain the PAS call for a public debate.
"That is the way of the opposition," he was quoted as saying. "We give everyone the freedom to campaign but it is the people who will decide the outcome."
PAS officials said Malaysia's largely pro-government mainstream media have given the opposition little exposure and a debate would give it a chance to publicly air its views.
"We want the National Front to debate on public issues so people can compare our policies, but they are afraid people will have the opportunity to listen to PAS. They want to deny us the media exposure," PAS senior official Hatta Ramli told The Associated Press.
"It looks like our standard of democracy is very much lower than in the U.S.," he said.
The National Front, which won 91 percent of parliamentary seats in 2004 polls, is expected to easily win again but with fewer seats amid public complains over rising inflation, crime, and racial and religious tension.
Both sides are waging a hard-fought campaign ahead of the March 8 polls, with top leaders crisscrossing the country to make speeches.
The National Front aims to capture Kelantan and has pledged billions of dollars (euros) to develop the mostly rural state.
Malaysian Election Setting New Record
Election-History 2 Kuala Lumpur One can expect not only a transparent electoral process but also absolute secrecy in this election as the EC has done away with serial number on ballot papers. Another first is the rise in the number of children of leaders and former leaders, either from Barisan Nasional (BN) or the opposition, who are contesting in this election. They include the son of former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Datuk Mukriz, who is vying for the Jerlun parliamentary seat in Kedah. Also making their debut are the son of former MCA president Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik, Datuk Ling Hee Leong (Gopeng); son of former Gerakan president Datuk Seri Dr Lim Keng Yaik, Lim Si Pin (Batu); and son of former Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek, Chua Tee Yong (Labis). The son of Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, Datuk Seri Sulaiman Abdul Rahman is also joining the list and is contesting for Kota Samarahan parliamentary seat.
Election-History 3 Kuala Lumpur Also making his debut is the son-in-law of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, Khairy Jamaluddin, who is vying for the Rembau parliamentary seat. Nurul Izzah Anwar, the daughter of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) president Datin Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, is leading the pack on the opposition''s side. She is challenging Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil for the Lembah Pantai parliamentary seat. Others are DAP advisor Lim Kit Siang''s son Lim Guan Eng (Bagan) and DAP chairman Karpal Singh''s son Gobind Singh Deo (Puchong). The polls also see another first -- the oldest candidate in the country''s election history -- when an 89-year-old woman, Maimun Yusuf, was accepted as an Independent candidate. Maimun is contesting in Kuala Terengganu parliamentary constituency against incumbent Datuk Razali Ismail (BN), and Mohamad Sabu of Pas. -- MORE Election-History 4 (last) Kuala Lumpur Also for the first time, Pas is fielding a non-Muslim. However, the 29-year old R. Kumutta is contesting under PKR banner in Tiram state seat. She was reported to have said that she would join Pas after the election. There is also a significant increase in the number of women candidates, both from BN and the opposition. BN alone is fielding 67 women for the parliamentary and state seats, an increase of 13 candidates compared to 2004 general election. Another first is the introduction of a report card from BN government. The report card, launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi along with the BN manifesto on Monday, spells out the BN government''s achievements in the past four years. The report card will now be evaluated by Malaysians so that they can choose wisely upon casting their votes come polling day
